Product Update: The Chronicles of Riddick Trading Cards
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have made several key product
changes to the upcoming release of "The Chronicles of Riddick" Trading Cards.
Most importantly, there will now be 2 autograph cards per box, rather than 1
autograph card and 1 costume card per box. There will no longer we any costume
cards inserted into card packs. Also, the case topper will now be the Keith
David autograph card, the multi-case incentive card will be the Claudia Black
autograph card, and the collector's album card will be the Radha Mitchell
autograph card. Finally, we have cut the production run from 6,000 to 3,000
boxes, and the card series will be released on June 2, 2004, nine days in
advance of the release of the film itself.
"We regret any inconvenience or disappointment that these changes may cause our
loyal dealers, distributors and collectors," said Rittenhouse Archives President
Steve Charendoff. "I do wish to emphasize that 3,000 boxes (250 cases) will be
our most limited edition ever, and should result in extraordinary second market
activity. Having read the script and seen so many images from the film, I have
no doubt that 'Riddick' will be one of this year's top sci-fi films and that
demand for 'Riddick' and 'Pitch Black' merchandise will be very strong."
Autograph cards inserted into the packs will include Vin Diesel (Riddick), Judi
Dench (Aereon), Colm Feore (Lord Marshal), Karl Urban (Vaako), Thandie Newton
(Dame Vaako) and Alexa Davalos (Kyra), all of whom have starring roles in "The
Chronicles of Riddick" feature film. For more product details, please visit our
