Houston MLB FanFest Event Exclusive Figures Unveiled
See the Special Clemens and Bagwell Toys to be Offered in July
McFarlane Toys will hit the road this summer, returning to two cities we've visited
in the past. Having a booth at a sports event is one of the best things we do as a
company. It lets us meet our customers one-on-one and also offer some unique figures
to salute the hometown fans.
The fans treated us very well in Houston when we opened our booth for the NFL
Experience during Super Bowl weekend this past February. We are excited to
return to Houston for this summer's John Hancock MLB FanFest during All-Star
weekend. Our booth will be open from July 9-13 in the George R.
Brown Convention Center, right next to Minute Maid Park.
We will be offering two exclusive figures for sale during FanFest. Our first is
the newest Astro, future Hall-of-Fame pitcher Roger Clemens. "The Rocket" will
be featured in his all-white home alternate uniform. The second figure is a look
back at longtime Astros first baseman Jeff Bagwell, featuring the midnight blue
Houston jersey and the "power goatee" he sported a few seasons ago.
Following FanFest, McFarlane Toys returns to The National Sports Collector's
Convention. This year the 25th annual convention is in Cleveland, Ohio, at the
International Exposition Center from July 22-25. We will be offering another
pair of exclusive figures at the National. The first is a twist on our original
LeBron James figure, sure to be popular with the hometown fans. The other figure
is a different look at our Allen Iverson 2 figure, featuring a jersey we've
never offered before. Look for images of these two figures in the weeks to
come.
Pricing has not been established for these figures yet, but our previous events
have offered exclusive figures at $15 each or $25 for the pair. We'll look
forward to seeing our fans in Houston and Cleveland later this summer! Stay
tuned to spawn.com for
more details as they're available.
