World Series Champion Derek Jeter to Represent MLB Line
Yankees Captain Signs Multi-Year Deal with Leading Publisher of Sports Cards
The Upper Deck Company, LLC, the premier sports and entertainment publisher,
today announces the signing of Yankees Captain Derek Jeter to an exclusive
multi-year agreement to represent the company's baseball card line of products.
Jeter, a career post-season .314 hitter and four-time World Series Champion,
has agreed to a multi-year exclusive trading card collectibles agreement with
Upper Deck that includes game-used equipment trading cards, autographed cards,
premium deals, packaging and promotional rights.
"Every kid who plays sports dreams of making a big play in the World Series,
and being on a winning team like the Yankees. Today, I've joined another world-class
team, Upper Deck, and am pleased to be in the company of the other great
athletes representing their products," said Derek Jeter.
Other Upper Deck Spokesmen include: Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, LeBron James,
Kevin Garnett, Yao Ming, Ichiro Suzuki, Ken Griffey, Jr., and Annika Sorenstam
to name a few.

Derek Jeter, an accomplished shortstop and only the 11th player in the ball club's
history to be named captain, has been instrumental in the success and return to
glory of Yankees teams of the last decade. Jeter has appeared in 99 post-season games,
has a career October slugging percentage of .469, and has played in five All-Star
Games. Since Jeter's first major league at-bat in 1995, he has compiled more than
1,500 hits, stolen 181 bases and has played in 1,200 plus games.
Jeter's inaugural Upper Deck autograph card will appear in SP Authentic and will
be on store shelves nationally in early June. In addition, Jeter will be making his
packaging debut on Upper Deck's Sweet Spot in September.
