First NASCAR 3 Action Figure Photos Available
Extended Lineup Features Different Sports, Eras Of Racing
The third NASCAR action figure line from ActionMcFarlane -- a partnership
between McFarlane Toys and Action Performance -- is revving up and it's a doozy.
The new line comprises nine drivers and features current drivers, retired
legends and a dominant NHRA drag racer. Here's the lineup:
- JAMIE McMURRAY, No. 42
McMurray took home rookie of the year honors and finished 13th in Cup points in
2003.
- TONY STEWART, No. 20
Stewart won two races and finished seventh in points in 2003.
- MICHAEL WALTRIP, No. 15
The Waltrip name is legendary in racing circles. Michael finished 15th in points
in 2003.
- KEVIN HARVICK, No. 29
Harvick got his first Cup win at Atlanta 2001, and became the first driver to
win both the Busch Series championship and Cup rookie of the year honors in the
same season.
- DALE EARNHARDT JR., No. 8
With his legendary family and his prowess behind the wheel, Junior has become
the unofficial poster boy of NASCAR. He won two races in 2003 and finished third
in the standings.
- DARRELL WALTRIP, No. 17
Darrell Waltrip is a living racing legend, competing for some 26 years before
his retirement following the 2000 season. Waltrip now serves as a race announcer
on the Fox network.
- DALE JARRETT, No. 88
Jarrett is an old-school driver, who competed in his first Winston Cup race in
1984. Jarrett finished 27th in points in 2003, though he did win the Subway 400
at Rockingham.
- JOHN FORCE
Force is the man in NHRA drag racing. He's a 12-time POWERade Champion who set
the national record in the quarter mile e.t. (4.721 seconds) in 2003.
NASCAR Series 3 is scheduled for retail release -- in both mass and specialty
versions -- in October. Until then, enjoy the photography.
