LeAnn Rimes Revs Up for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 Weekend - Country Singer Catches a Ride on
the Aaron’s Dream Machine
Action Performance Companies Inc., the leader in the design, promotion, marketing and distribution
of licensed motorsports merchandise, today announced the latest driver/artist combination taking part
in the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 race weekend at Richmond International Raceway: Michael Waltrip and country
singer LeAnn Rimes.
Waltrip will drive a special version of his No. 99 Aaron’s Dream Machine Chevrolet Monte Carlo featuring
Rimes during the 250-mile NASCAR Busch Series race at Richmond on Sept. 10, 2004. The race will be the
Rimes’ first appearance on a NASCAR stock car.
Rimes is part of a diverse lineup of musicians who will be showcased on vehicles throughout the NASCAR
race weekend in Richmond, Va. The growing list includes KISS, whose famous visages will adorn race cars
driven by Richard Childress Racing teammates Kevin Harvick and Ron Hornaday as well as Matt Crafton, the
first driver for Kevin Harvick Inc.’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race team.
"LeAnn Rimes has become an important part of the country music landscape and is recognized by everyone
in the mainstream media," said Fred W. Wagenhals, Action Performance’s chairman, president and CEO.
"She is a talented singer who continues to grow as an artist. Rimes has become a friend to NASCAR and
also has been a featured part of several races, singing the national anthem to great fanfare. Now, her fans
in the NASCAR scene can cheer her on aboard Michael Waltrip’s No. 99 Aaron’s Dream Machine in Richmond."
