Donruss Extends Autograph Deal with Nomo
Donruss officials this week announced that the company has extended its autograph relationship
with popular Dodgers pitcher Hideo Nomo through the end of the 2005 season. When the company first
inked Nomo to a non-exclusive agreement in 2003, it marked the first time since 2000 - and only the
second time in his career - that the Japanese superstar had signed certified autographs for a
trading card company.
Although his relationship with Donruss is non-exclusive, it's worth noting that Donruss is the
only trading card company currently producing certified Nomo autograph cards.
As part of the new agreement, Donruss officials made a donation to Nomo Baseball Club, a non-profit
organization in Japan that assists with fielding baseball teams and also conducts baseball clinics
for children.
