Finally! A Trading Card Set Designed Especially for Girls
New U GO GRL Activity Collectible Trading Card Sets to Debut in February
Trading Cards have been traditionally made for boys. U GO GRL Activity Collectible Trading
Cards are about to change all that.
The U GO GRL cards (pronounced “you go, girl”), developed by LocaSmarts LLC of Ormond Beach,
Fla., were designed specifically for girls between the ages of 7 and 12. The 150-card set
features original artwork of 24 lifelike characters doing real things that real girls do.
The cards offer positive, life-enriching activities, tips, games, and creative outlets for
"real girls."
"Our goal was to develop a card set especially for young girls, to help them pursue
their hopes and dreams," says Shirley James, President of LocaSmarts. "We’ve seen
card sets that were supposed to be for girls, but they didn’t really capture the flavor of
being a young girl in the 21st century. U GO GRL cards definitely capture what it’s like to
be a 'real girl' in today’s world."
The set is broken down into six, color-coded subsets, each based on different activities that
an active girl might do during a normal day. The subsets are: Go Active (sports), Go Figure
(brain teasers), Go Primp (fashion and styling tips), Go Basic (everyday life skills), Go
Create (arts and creativity) and Go Mingle (family and peer relationships).
The set will also include numerous hard-to-find cards, foil-enhanced parallel cards, stickers
and temporary tattoos, all designed to enhance the collecting experience and promot trading
and sharing cards with friends. In addition to the information on each card, there are also
clues and keys to unlocking hidden areas on the awesome "U GO GRL" website
(www.UGOGRL.com). Eight-card packs will
have a suggested retail price of $3.49. In addition, collectible tins will be released on
a staggered basis and have a $14.99 suggested retail price.
