The "Quotable" Star Trek: The Next Generation Cards Slated For Release Spring 2005
Rittenhouse Archives is pleased to announce that The "Quotable" Star Trek: The Next
Generation Trading Cards will be released in early spring 2005. This all-new series will feature
the most memorable, witty, funny and thought-provoking lines that have become so much a part of
Star Trek lore. This all-new collection series will also feature 1 autograph card and 1 costume
card per box, as well as hundreds of new photos that have never before appeared on trading cards.
Autograph signers will include series stars Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard), Brent Spiner (Data),
Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi), Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker), Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton
(Wesley Crusher), Diana Muldaur (Dr. Pulaski) and Denise Crosby (Lt. Yar); as well as guest stars
John De Lancie (Q), Famke Janssen (Kamala), Michelle Forbes (Lt. Laren), Suzie Plakson (K’Ehleyr),
Rosalind Chao (Keiko O’Brien), Saul Rubinek (Kivas Fajo), Carel Struycken (Mr. Homn) and Majel
Barrett (Lwaxana Troi).
In addition to the single-signature cards, there will also be limited edition double-signature
cards, including the following combinations: Patrick Stewart-Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis-Jonathan
Frakes, Marina Sirtis-Majel Barrett, Michael Dorn-Suzie Plakson and Majel Barrett-Carel Struycken.
Each double-signature card is limited to 200.
The roster of costume cards features all 9 key bridge crew figures: Picard, Data, Riker, Worf,
LaForge, Dr. Crusher, Troi, Yar and Wesley Crusher. The inclusiveness of these cards make The
"Quotable" Star Trek: The Next Generation Trading Cards among the most impressive
entertainment card collections ever produced.
Other product features include:
- 110-card base set, with more than 200 classic quotes
- 9 "Space, The Final Frontier" cards featuring a montage of the Enterprise
crew and many of the key aliens faced throughout their voyages;
- 6 "The ‘Quotable’ Star Trek: TNG Comics" cards, with artwork and more memorable
quotes from the first 6 TNG comics that were introduced in 1988;
- 9 "Star Trek TV Guide" cards, depicting classic covers from TV Guide’s 35th
anniversary celebration of Star Trek in 2002;
- 9 "Captain’s Women" cards, featuring many of Picard’s love interests;
- 9 "Starfleet’s Finest" cards, showcasing the core bridge crew of the Enterprise,
and which are limited to only 399 of each card.
- 1 SketchaFex™ card depicting the Enterprise in a variety of different scenes.
Each box of The "Quotable" Star Trek: The Next Generation Trading Cards will contain 40
packs with a suggested retail price of $2.10 per pack and $84.00 per box. Each pack will contain
5 cards. Collectors will also be able to store their collections in a custom designed collector's
album, which will retail for $39.99, and contain an exclusive autograph card signed by Marta Dubois
as Ardra in the classic episode "The Devil’s Due."
