The Traders Speak Collecting Hour Celebrates Beginning of 5th Year
The Traders Speak Collecting Hour, a call-in radio program all about collectibles, has just
announced that the program is entering its 5th season.
The Traders Speak is currently broadcast on the Sporting News Radio network every Saturday, at
8 AM EST and 7 AM CST. The show is heard on approximately 300 Sporting News Radio affiliate
stations coast-to-coast. The program can also be heard on AOL Radio and on the Traders
Speak/Sporting News Radio web sites, 24/7.
According to Traders Speak co-host, Mike Berkus, "The Traders Speak is the only nationally
syndicated program in the collectibles industry. The fact that the program is beginning its 5th
season is a testament to our industry that has supported the concept of taking our hobby to the
masses through a nationally syndicated radio program."
Traders Speak co-host Bob Wilke stated, "We owe a debt of gratitude to the sponsors who make
this program possible and to the 10’s of thousands of listeners who tune in each week. Sponsors
like Upper Deck and Donruss/Playoff continue to support the concept of expanding the hobby’s
collecting base through our program."
The Traders Speak Collecting Hour continues to attract a strong cross section of sports fans and
sports collectors from across the USA. The Traders Speak is currently sponsored by – Upper Deck,
Donruss/Playoff, the NFL & PLAYERS INC, DACardWorld.com (Dave & Adam’s Card World) and NAXCOM.com.
About The Traders Speak Collecting Hour
Hobby veterans Mike Berkus, Bob Wilke and John Broggi host The Traders Speak. All 3 hosts have been
in the hobby since the ‘70’s and are not known for their shyness. Mike Berkus, the quick-witted
co-host, captures the spirit of The Traders Speak: "Not only is The Traders Speak a show that
entertains and informs, but the show truly is the perfect vehicle for reaching out to the non-collector.
This is the group we hear everyone in the hobby talk about reaching. We are reaching out and making
collectors out of them."
It’s billed as the "antique road show meets Babe Ruth." But, however you characterize it,
define it, or describe it, it’s definitely one-hour of pure fun, and it’s an idea whose time has come.
"The Traders Speak" is off and running. Each week’s show discusses sports collectibles and
their values. Within the first 5 minutes, people are clamoring to call-in, ask questions and remind
the hosts over and over again, "Man, this show is great!"
