Upper Deck Entertainment Releases 'Avatar' Trading Card Game Based on New Nickelodeon

a subdivision of The Upper Deck Company -- rings in 2005 with an exciting medley of entertainment
products. Teaming up with globally renowned companies such as Marvel, Nickelodeon, Disney,
Rainbow Media and DC, this year's line-up includes new products ranging from highly collectible
anniversary card set from Disney Treasures, to brand new superhero sets for the top-rated Vs.
System™ and the new Avatar Trading Card Game.
This year, UDE and the KONAMI CORPORATION will launch the fourth season of the wildly popular
Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, complete with a fresh new cards, expansion sets, and stronger monsters.
Last year, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG were featured as an "All Star" in Toy Wishes Magazine and was
listed in recent years as one of the most highly sought-after toys in Toy Wishes Magazine, Business
Week, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG continues to dominate the trading card game scene as it thunders into its fourth
season with new sets and brand new cards. UDE kicked of the year with the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG's new Dragon's
Roar and Zombie Madness Structure Decks (February). Balanced, straight-forward and easy-to-learn with,
these structure decks are great for new players and for those ready to jump into the tournament scene.
Additional releases include highly collectible sets such as Flaming Eternity (March), Dark Revelation 1
(March), The Lost Millennium (June), Dark Beginning 2 (July), and Dark Revelation 2 (October) to name a
few. In addition, UDE will also release the Master Collection Volume 2 (October), featuring six of the
most recent released booster packs, and variant cards, and the holiday favorite, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG
Collector's Tin (September) - packed with five booster packs and one unique card.
Continuing to own and expand the tween girl trading card game market with unique, fun and cooperative
games made especially for girls, UDE will release the newest girl TCG - the Winx Club Magical Fairy
Game (May) and the latest release for the Bratz Fashion Party Fever Game. Based on the new animated
series on FoxBox, the Winx Club TCG centers on the adventures of the mystical and magical Winx fairies
as they battle their arch nemeses, the Witches. Previewing the exciting new Winx Club TCG, UDE will
launch the very first Winx Club Comic Book in February. Also this year, Bratz fans can look forward to
the cool and funky expansion series to the Bratz Fashion Party Fever Game - the Fabulous Bratz Starter
Tin and Booster set (February). Incorporating rockin' fashion cards, Spring's coolest accessories, and
the hottest Bratz poses, will be encased in a wonderfully designed carrying case, complete with two
35-card decks, a game rules booklet, and all the added necessities to play the game.
The mighty Marvel TCG gets supercharged in 2005 with new additions to the game. Using the top-rated Vs.
System, the Marvel TCG has become one of the hottest games on the market. Comic vigilantes, heroism,
and adventure arise in the newest expansion sets for the Marvel TCG series, which include: Marvel
Knights (February), spotlighting Daredevil™, Ghost Rider™, Punisher™, Blade™, and Elektra™, and features
new cards for classic Marvel teams such as X-Men™, the Fantastic Fourä, and the Spider-Friends; the
Fantastic Four (May) Starter Set, which will also be featured as movie trading cards this year; and
the earth's mightiest heroes, the Avengers (August), which will feature the power of Captain America,
Iron Man, Thor, to name a few.
Igniting the Vs. System in 2005, UDE will release the highly anticipated expansion sets for the insanely
popular DC Comics TCG. This year's releases include: the Green Lantern (May) set featuring the Green
Lantern Corps, and powers never seen before in the Vs. System; and. the super-powered Justice League of
America (November) set, featuring the some of the most recognizable comic superheroes to date such as
Superman, The Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter.
The Disney Treasures franchise gets new additions in 2005, beginning with Disney-Pixar Treasures Collectible
Cards with Figurines (February). Disney-Pixar fans can collect all six figurines, which include Mr.
Incredible ("The Incredibles"), Syndrome ("The Incredibles"), Nemo ("Finding
Nemo"), Woody (Academy Award-winning "Toy Story"), Sulley ("Monsters Inc."), and
Flik (Oscar nominee "A Bug's Life"). Also this year, UDE celebrates Disneyland's golden
anniversary with Disney Treasures' Disneyland 50th Anniversary Collectible Cards (May), and Disney
Treasures' Sequential Disney Collectible Cards (August), which include the highly sought after Disney
sketch cards, and collectible cards featuring chronological movements of classic Mickey film.
UDE teams up again with Nickelodeon in the Fall as both companies release the new Avatar Trading Card
Game (October). The game, based on the new Nickelodeon show debuting this month, centers on the adventures
of Aang, the twelve-year-old youngster who must master his powers to conquer the Firebenders - the evil
magi who threaten the world. The new game features fast-paced game mechanics using bending moves.
