John Elway to Get First Topps Baseball Card
Not many people know that the New York Yankees drafted Hall of Fame quarterback John
Elway out of Stanford University in 1981. In his first year of pro baseball, he hit
.318 and had a team-high 25 RBIs in 42 games. He went on to a legendary career on the
gridiron, but never had a chance to be on a Topps Baseball Card.
