In The Game Identifies "Short-Print" Autographed Cards in NHL Franchises
In The Game, Inc., manufacturers of NHL-licensed hockey cards, is identifying which Autographed
cards from their recently issued NHL Franchises brands, have smaller circulation numbers than
others.
NHL Franchises - Canadian Edition was released on February 28 and included a total of 104 different
cards in a special Autograph set. A total of 18 of those cards are available in shorter supply. NHL
Franchises - U.S. West Edition was released March 31. That product has 102 different cards in the
Autograph set, 19 of which are available in shorter supply.
"It was not our intent to dispense any of this information," explained In The Game President
Dr. Brian Price, "because the market usually does an effective job of identifying which cards are
in greatest demand. However, NHL Franchises has been an extremely popular product and a number of
collectors made a compelling argument for identifying which cards are the short prints and how this
would be a service to the hobby. We listened and as a result, this information is now available."
The Autograph cards are seeded at a rate of one per 16 packs in both the Canadian Edition and U.S. West
Edition of NHL Franchises.
