Superior Auction Reaches New Heights in Prices Realized
Superior Sports Auctions, a subsidiary of Greg Manning Auctions Inc., held its "Spring Sports
Mania Sale" on March 24th with tremendous results (www.SuperiorSports.com).
Prices realized were very strong with items reaching as high as 1260% of current book value when
compared to the April edition of Sports Market Report (SMR).
"We received a lot of positive feedback about the high quality items being offered as well as how
professionally the auction was run," said Joe Tuttle, Consignment Director. "We are very pleased
by the success of this auction and look forward to our next offering which will be on display at the
National in July."
The top card sold in this auction was the 1939 Playball Ted Williams rookie card graded Gem Mint 9.5 by
Global Authentication Incorporated. The Williams card, featured on the back cover of the Superior catalog,
was purchased for $23,000. Below are some notable prices realized from the sale. A complete list of prices

Especially successful was Superior's "One of One" section which featured cards, mostly PSA 9's
and PSA 10's, that are the only ones of their grade. "We wanted to do something to make this auction
unique," said Tuttle. "With so many collectors building high quality sets, we thought it would be
best if we featured cards that give the buyer an advantage in building the best set possible."

Superior's next auction, "The All-American Summer Sale", is August 4th, 2005. Superior is
the Official Auctioneer of the 26th National Sports Collectors Convention. Superior will be displaying
consigned items for the August auction at the Chicago show scheduled for July 27th-31st, 2005. Already
consigned to the August auction is a game-used Michael Jordan jersey from the 1986-1987 season, autographed
by Jordan and authenticated by SCD. "This will be a great opportunity for consignors to have their
auction items alongside the Jordan jersey and available for viewing by tens of thousands of collectors. It
can only increase interest and earn maximum value for their cards and memorabilia," said Tuttle.
The deadline for consigning is June 3rd, however Superior is offering some incentives to consign early.
Consignments made before May 15th are eligible for a 5% seller's discount or free cash advance. To take
advantage of this offer, call Joe Tuttle at 954.426.8820, Kristie Gallant at 888.337.4492, or consign online
at www.SuperiorSports.com.
