New Jersey Native Adam Horvath Defeats Nearly 300 Competitors In Upper Deck Entertainment's $1 Million Vs. System™ Pro Circuit Championship In Amsterdam

First-Ever UDE Pro Circuit Event Held Outside of North America Rewards Top 75 Participants With Cash Prizes

Largest Player Attendance Ever For Pro Circuit Event

Becoming the first-ever international winner of Upper Deck Entertainment’s (UDE) $1 Million Vs. System Pro Circuit Tournament series, New Jersey native Adam Horvath has been crowned as the new UDE Vs. System Pro Circuit champion. Winner of $40,000 in cash, Horvath was one of over 280 top Vs. System TCG players in the Pro Circuit tournament held this past weekend in Amsterdam. UDE awarded more than $250,000 in prize money for the top 75 competitors.

Horvath -- a veteran trading card game player -- beat Michael Dalton (three games to two) in the best of five finals to capture the Championship title and the large cash prize. Horvath outplayed a strong field of competitors in fierce head-to-head battles, earning the third-ever UDE Vs. System Pro Circuit crown. Over 110 players battled their way to the second round in Day Two. The top eight players remaining advanced to Day Three where the top cash prizes were awarded.

The intense competition -- held over three days at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport – became a true worldwide tournament, attracting players from various countries such as the United States, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, and Germany.

"The Amsterdam $1 Million Dollar Vs. System Pro Circuit Tournament was our highest attended Pro Circuit yet," said Scott Elliott, UDE Program Manager of Organized Play. "We’re excited to have such a diverse and global player base, and are pleased that the Vs. System continues to recruit amazingly talented players around the world."
