Topps Inks Deal With Andrew Bogut

Topps, historic trading card manufacturer, has announced that University of Utah basketball sensation Andrew Bogut has signed with the company to appear on packaging and autograph trading cards, which will be inserted into packs of 2005-06 Topps Basketball products.

Bogut was the named the winner of both the Naismith and Wooden Awards, college basketball's top honors, after a stellar season in which he led Utah to the NCAA Tournament's "Sweet Sixteen." He was named Men's Player of the Year by numerous organizations, including the Associated Press, Chevrolet/CBS, the United States Basketball Writers' Association, ESPN.com and the Mountain West Conference (MWC). He is expected to be the top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

The first Topps product to feature autographed Bogut cards will be 2005-06 Topps Basketball, which ships this August.

The negotiations were concluded last week with Bogut's DC-based management company, SFX Basketball Group.
