A Night Under the Lights - Action Performance Opens Its Doors for a Special Fan Appreciation Night

Action Performance Companies Inc., the leader in licensed motorsports merchandise, today announced details concerning Fan Appreciation Night to be hosted at the company’s Concord, N.C. location. This year’s event is slated for Wednesday, May 18, 2005 and includes an autograph session with NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series drivers Sterling Marlin, Casey Mears and Jamie McMurray from the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates team. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

This year marks the third annual Action Performance Fan Appreciation event; however, it is the first time the company has hosted it "under the lights." The evening will feature a full slate of events, including autograph sessions, showcar and tour trailer exhibitions, door prizes, giveaways and special discounts at Action’s on-site Pit Stop Shop retail store. Action’s Fan Appreciation Night is part of the excitement building up to the second NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge race on May 21 at nearby Lowe’s® Motor Speedway.

The autograph session featuring Marlin (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge), Mears (No. 41 Target Dodge) and McMurray (No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge) is scheduled for 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Additionally, Fan Appreciation Night will include a carnival-type atmosphere with food, fun and games for children.

Action’s Fan Appreciation Night will take place at the company’s offices located at 6301 Performance Drive, a quarter-mile southeast of Lowe’s® Motor Speedway in Concord. Admission and parking for Fan Appreciation Night is free.

"All race fans are welcome, so stop by and be part of this year’s Fan Appreciation Night," added Fred W. Wagenhals, Action Performance’s chairman, president and CEO.
