Top Draft Picks Make Debut in Los Angeles at the Reebok NFL Players Rookie Premiere Presented by EA SPORTS

Thirty of the top NFL draft picks will gather for a four-day outing in Los Angeles, beginning Thursday, May 19th for the Reebok NFL Players Rookie Premiere presented by EA SPORTS and produced by PLAYERS INC. The rookies will wear their official team jerseys for the first time as they participate in a series of photo shoots for trading card companies Donruss/Playoff, Topps and Upper Deck.

"Rookies always look forward to being part of this event," said Pat Allen, COO of PLAYERS INC. "Not only is it the first time they wear their official team uniforms, but they are also excited about seeing their very first football trading card."

In addition to the trading card photo shoots at the Los Angeles Coliseum, rookies will visit two local hobby shops; participate in media appearances and corporate hospitality; and, host a kids' clinic throughout the four days.

On Friday afternoon, several rookies will lead a group of local youth in skills and drills competitions in the Reebok kids' clinic at the LA Coliseum.

Children between the ages of eight and fourteen who register at nearby Kids Foot Lockers upon a purchase of RBK licensed product between May 16 and through May 19 are eligible to participate.

Later that evening, a welcome reception for the rookies, sponsors and media will be held at the host hotel, Westin Century Plaza Hotel.

New to this year's event is Pepsi, who will utilize the Rookie Premiere to launch its Rookie of the Week and Rookie of the Year programs, a season-long promotion where fans vote on http://www.nfl.com for their favorite rookie. When the rookies first arrive at the event, they will campaign to get fans to vote for him as this year's Rookie of the Year. The top response will win a personalized Pepsi vending machine presented by The NFL Network host Rich Eisen at the welcome reception on Friday night. The vending machine will feature an enlarged trading card image of the rookie and will be stocked with Pepsi products for the entire NFL season.

Friday night's welcome reception will end with the Rookie Madden Bowl, when rookies will challenge each other playing Madden NFL 06 in an elimination round beginning at 9 p.m.

On Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., trading card companies Donruss/Playoff and Topps will conduct photo shoots of the rookies for their card products at the LA Coliseum, while Upper Deck will conduct its shoots on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The week's activities will be filmed for a one-hour television special, produced by PLAYERS INC and The NFL Network. Hosted by Rich Eisen and Sterling Sharpe, it will air repeatedly on NFL Network starting in July.

In its ninth year, the Reebok NFL Players Rookie Premiere is an official event of PLAYERS INC.
