Geppi's Memorabilia Road Show Takes Big Presence at 26th National in Chicago
Geppi's Memorabilia Road Show, attending its first National under the new ownership of Steve Geppi, has
stepped up with a major sponsorship at the Convention. In addition to occupying a large booth in the
corporate pavilion of the floor, GMRS will sponsor a contest in which a visitor will win a Cal Ripken
bat and ball signed by Cal with the 2,131 designation. The contest will be promoted on all tickets and
aisle signs at the show.
Steve Geppi, a part owner of the Orioles, owns Diamond Comics, the largest English language distributor
of comic books in the world. He owns several auction houses and this is his first venture into the sports
collectibles auction world, although he is himself a major collector and a director of the Babe Ruth Museum.
GMRS will be featured in stand alone space in the new Sports Legends at Camden Yards museum, which opened
last month in Baltimore.
