Sponsors Chip in for Kids Free Day at 26th National
Donruss/Playoff, Topps and Upper Deck Provide Packs
Kids Free Day will once again feature an added bonus for all of the 'kids' who attend the National
on Friday, July 29. Each youngster, 15 years of age and under, will not only be admitted to the National
absolutely free - Courtesy of Nintendo of America - but each Kid's Free guest will receive free packs
of trading cards from Donruss/Playoff, Topps and Upper Deck.
"Once again, Donruss/Playoff, Topps and Upper Deck have come through for the National kids, by providing
thousands and thousands of trading card packs," said co-executive director, John Broggi. "This
demonstrates to our hobby how committed these card companies are to building the hobby by giving back to
children, 15 and under."
PLAYERS INC is providing free autographs of former Chicago Bears stars Jim Covert and Chris Zorich for Kids
Free Day. Players Inc has supported the National by providing Kids Free signers for the last several years.
Kids Free Day has been a standard feature of the National since 1998. Nintendo also participated in the Daily
Herald's Summer Reading Program by provide free admission for any day of the National for all readers who
fulfilled the requirements of a summer reading program administered by the libraries throughout the Chicago
area. Youngsters will also receive free packs of Pokemon Trading Cards and a chance to win a Nintendo DS gaming
system. Thanks to Nintendo of America, our 'kids' will get a chance to attend the National on Friday, July 29
at absolutely no charge.
